The Original Playa from the Himalaya! The Guru! The man with one of the best finishing moves in all of professional wrestling! Sonjay Dutt was something of a TNA mainstay at various points throughout the first decade of the new millennium, a consistent performer in the X-Division whether billed as a heel or a face.

Despite this, Dutt didn't get too many opportunities to go ahead and win the belt. In fact, his first one-on-one X-Division Championship shot wouldn't come until 2012, when he unsuccessfully challenged Zema Ion at No Surrender. In fact, Dutt received more title shots between 2012 and 2013 than he did in any of his previous stints with the company, although by then the X-Division had drastically reduced in importance.

Dutt did experience some success in the company, winning the World X Cup in 2006.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
