Despite the fact they were a few years off from becoming the number one tag team on the planet, when the Young Bucks arrived in TNA in 2009 they still stood out as something special. The team were dubbed Generation Me, and they challenged the Motor City Machine Guns for the tag team titles on a number of occasions but always came up short.

The duo entered the X-Division in 2011, but were similarly unsuccessful. The team actually split up somewhat during this time, with Max (Matt) claiming the reason they were there was to make him the X-Division Champion, and it was up to Jeremy (Nick) to help him. They had a number of shots at the title, but came up short every time.

In the years since, the Young Bucks have gone on to become the biggest tag team in the world, winning pretty much every title under the sun.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
