10 Best TNA X Division Champions Ever

9. Kazarian

Frankie Kazarian is a strange one. He won the title on five occasions, for the first time in 2004 and then for the final time in 2011. Kazarian has always been a fine hand in the ring, a credible opponent for anyone, and also an individual who works well regardless of their alignment, as comfortable as a face as they are a heel.

Despite this, there always just seemed to be something missing with Kaz. He won the title five times but never had a career-defining run with the belt, in a similar manner to the way Dolph Ziggler and Shelton Benjamin have won WWE Intercontinental and United States Championships. Kazarian was never far away from the title picture, but he never seemed like the most interesting choice for the title either.

Even so, his value to the division as a champion and a challenger over the years should not be underestimated.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
