Wladek Kowalski tried both of those names out in the 1940's before setting on Killer Kowalski, a name that maximized both foreign heel menace and tough-guy advertising.

Sure, he had those wild eyes. Sure, he was the first man to pin Andre the Giant in North America. Sure, he unleashed Triple H on the world. And sure, he ripped Yukon Eric's ear off in the '50s. But long before you heard or saw any of that, you already knew you were dealing with a proper monster.
