4. Gorilla Monsoon

Earthquake and Typhoon named themselves after natural disasters. Togi Makabe is known as the unchained gorilla, while Mark Henry rejected Vince McMahon's attempts to brand him as a "silverback."

But only one man combined a bestial menace with a thunderous, pounding weather event to sell himself as a monster heel, one so dangerous even Muhammed Ali felt the wrath of his dreaded airplane spin.

Gorilla Monsoon, billed as a giant from Manchuria, just sounds like a force of nature you don't want to meet in a well-lit alley, let alone a dark one.

Sure, you may remember him as a beloved announcer, or the WWE president, or even the namesake of the backstage Gorilla position behind the curtain, but no doubt the first time you heard the name "Gorilla Monsoon," you imagined a true tough guy.

(Though, these days, even he would be jealous of Tyler Bate's airplane spin.)
