10 Best Undercard WWE Matches In Royal Rumble History

3. The Rockers vs Orient Express (1991)

This match took place nearly a full year before Shawn Michaels would throw Marty Jannetty through a plate glass window, and the Orient Express were nothing more than lower-tier workers for their WWF careers, so people were right not to expect a whole lot out of this match. What they got was something that, to that point, was incredibly rare in the WWF. Lucha Libre pacing helped to deliver an incredibly fast-paced match, full of aerial action. They had the crowd hooked from the start, and only won them over more and more as the match went on. The crowd was so into it that they gave Jannetty what could have been the biggest pop of his entire career when he received the "hot tag" at one point. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1w70y1_wwf-wrestlemania-vi-the-rockers-vs-the-orient-express_sport Amazingly, they were given 20 minutes to work with, which was almost unheard of for a random tag team match at the time, but the time flew by, and it seemed like only half that by the time it was over. Michaels and Jannetty, especially, came out of this looking like they would both go on to become megastars, which is probably how it was supposed to go. We saw how Michaels' career would blossom, but Jannetty probably would have had a huge career, as well, if not for his addiction issues derailing everything for a while.
