While The Crow is Sting's most famous gimmick, it isn't the only one that he's played throughout his illustrious career. There was also Surfer Sting, Blade Runner Sting, and Joker Sting. All were unique and entertaining in their own right, and they still can be, if revived in the right setting. AEW has proven that they can do nostalgia the right way, which is part original elements and part unique twist.

Sting's return is exciting and fans are clamoring to see the classic black and white face painted version of Sting. However, an interesting way to have Sting compete in AEW is to have him appear as a new gimmick every week. Maybe it could be similar to the way Undertaker transformed back into the American Badass when having to take on AJ Styles. Have Sting transform into whichever gimmick is needed to get the leg up on his rival. One week he appears as Crow Sting, but let's say in order to really get inside the mind of Team Taz, he dons the Joker makeup. Maybe MJF really gets under Sting's skin, so he busts out the old Surfer makeup and goes old school.
