10 Best World Title Matches In WWE Royal Rumble History
5. Brock Lesnar Vs. John Cena Vs. Seth Rollins (2015)
2015 was the year of Seth Rollins in WWE and you could say that it all started with this amazing performance at Royal Rumble.
Brock Lesnar became WWE World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam 2014 after brutally beating John Cena for the title. Cena earned himself a rematch with Brock at the Royal Rumble, but Cena's plans to battle The Beast one-on-one were scuppered by a certain member of The Authority.
Rollins, who was in the midst of his excellent heel run following him turning on The Shield, weaseled his way into the match as well, setting up a triple threat match and the first time ever that Rollins would be competing for the WWE Championship.
Rollins, Cena and Lesnar blended their styles together so well in this match; Lesnar's freakish power, Cena's athleticism, Rollins' speed and agility - they all came together in a perfect melting pot.
Rollins almost picked up the win with a beautiful Phoenix Splash, but it was him who was ultimately pinned by Lesnar, allowing The Beast to remain champion.
Despite being pinned, Rollins showed everyone that he was a future main eventer in this match. Whilst Cena and Lesnar also put in excellent performances, Seth was by far and away the star of this bout and helped propel it into this list.
