10 Best Wrestlers In The World Today Over 40
Age is just a number for these stars.
When it comes to professional sports, not many athletes stay in the game into their 40s, as it's generally understood that athletic competitions are mainly a young man's/woman's game.
There are always exceptions to the rule, but as people enter their fourth decade on Earth, they start to slow down, they're not as strong as they once were and the recovery time from injuries becomes longer.
In wrestling, competing after 40 isn’t that strange at all. On the WWE roster right now, there’s Mark Henry (45), R-Truth (44), Bubba (45) and D-Von (44) Dudley, The Big Show (44), Rhyno (40), The Undertaker (51) and others who have all crossed that barrier.
Interestingly, though perhaps not surprising, is that the oldest woman in WWE is 34 (Natalya), leaving her six years away from the big four zero.
Next year this category will be absolutely stacked, as John Cena, A.J. Styles, Brock Lesnar, Alberto Del Rio, Bobby Roode, James Storm, and Gail Kim are all currently sitting at 39. But that's then and this is now.
While some wrestlers should have already called it a career by 40, others are succeeding and doing some of their best work ever. But which ones are on top of the club? For the rankings, we're going to look at in-ring work, as well as mic skills and crowd reaction to sort things out.
Here are the 10 best wrestlers over the age of 40.
