10 Best Wrestlers Of 2021

5. Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston's 2021 has been immensely gratifying for anybody following his career, whether they were with him before AEW or not. He is the realest, most believable, and most authentic wrestler in the world, which makes it incredibly easy to form a connection with him. Any perceived weaknesses go out the window whenever he throws down with an opponent or spits his truth on the microphone. You are drawn in, immediately, because there isn't a line between Edde Kingston, The Man, and Eddie Kingston, The TV Star.

A strong early 2021 saw Kingston find a good role alongside Jon Moxley. Coming out of the pandemic and after grinding himself to dust for the best part of two decades, he would have felt incredible when Daily's Place received him like a hero at Double Or Nothing, where he and Mox battled The Young Bucks in a raucous Tag Team Title match. It's the past few months that really cement King's case, though, and now, Eddie is undeniable.

Opposite CM Punk, Kingston leveraged history to deliver a crash course in how to generate heat and interest for a feud on less than two weeks' notice. The Miro match was a wild, bellicose fight that inadvertently spawned the meme of the year. Then, against Bryan Danielson, King worked another of the year's absolute best bouts, further proving him one of the game's finest in-ring storytellers.

Kingston makes you want to live and die for him. He inspires levels of devotion any wrestler would love to have and now, with his support so strong he turned a building against CM Punk, it'd be a disappointment if he didn't win the big one in 2022.
