8. Seth Rollins

Overrated by some and underrated by many, Seth Rollins has nonetheless been WWE's most notable workhorse for several years, but particularly in 2022, when he has continually shown up with high-level performances when they matter most.

The 'Drip God' persona is perfect for his environment. It is wacky, outlandish, and the kind of character that might not fly elsewhere, but Rollins deserves immense credit for crafting something that lands extremely well in the biggest sports entertainment enterprise around. Seth has effectively made himself bulletproof, booking-wise: he loses so often because he can lose so often. WWE know that he'll be every bit as over as the day before, making him an invaluable asset to the company and its creative team.

While he has not yet found a ceiling to put him forward as a credible contender for number one, the remarkable Cody Rhodes series stands as a feather in both men's caps. Beyond that, Rollins' floor, at this stage, is "good." He is the most reliable TV wrestler in WWE who rarely slips below ***1/4-***1/2. No matter the opponent, Seth finds a way to make it work, be it Ezekiel or AJ Styles.

A master of his environment, the standout WWE performer of 2022, and with a proven ability to stay over no matter how many bouts he loses, Rollins is currently enjoying the best year of his WWE career to date.
