10 Best Wrestlers Who Never Held The IMPACT World Championship

8. Killer Kross

How did IMPACT Wrestling fail to capitalise on Killer Kross?

Before he became two-time NXT Champion Karrion Kross, Kross was a Killer. Not literally, although his deadly Saito suplexes would state otherwise. It was only a few months into his career before he was entered into a title picture opposite Johnny IMPACT, resulting in him Powerbombing Johnny's wife Taya Valkyrie - now NXT's Franky Monet - off the stage at the 2019 Homecoming pay-per-view.

This was genuinely tremendous stuff. In one night, Kross had been established as a top-tier talent in IMPACT Wrestling. Then it just fizzled away.

His title match vs 'Johnny Drip Drip' concluded in a double disqualification in January 2019, and a second title bout saw he, Moose, and Brian Cage all fail to topple Johnny. Following this, that was him shuffled down the card.

What gives?

His remaining time in IMPACT saw the now-current NXT Champion facing Eddie Edwards. A decent first blood match at Slammiversary was his last appearance for the company before Kross was released months down the line, having requested it himself. It's no surprise, really. Your writer has praised IMPACT Wrestling for the past few years across this website; this was, however, one of their major downfalls in recent times.
