10 Best Wrestlers Who Never Held The WWE Title (And When They Should Have Won)

8. Mr. Perfect (SummerSlam 1993)

Mr. Perfect is best known for his 1980s heel tenure, but there was a lot of untapped potential in his brief babyface run. After taking time off due to injury and serving as Ric Flair's executive consultant, Perfect was insulted by Flair and Heenan and returned to competition against his former friends.

Perfect defeated Flair in a loser leaves WWE match on the third episode of Raw, but his momentum was then wasted.

Mr. Perfect could have done well with the push that was given to Lex Luger. Though Luger was a heel in the spring of 1993, he was quickly turned face and thrust into a feud with WWE Champion Yokozuna.

Vince McMahon wanted Luger to be his new top superstar, but the fans rejected him and the company couldn't risk putting the title on Luger when he eventually got his shot.

Had Mr. Perfect been Yokozuna's SummerSlam challenger, things might have been different. Fans would be more likely to support the talented star, and a victory for the WWE Championship would have been possible.

After that, a heart-wrenching heel turn and a WrestleMania X showdown with Bret Hart would have been in order.
