Billy Gunn gets his fair share of flack from the modern day WWE fan, and a lot of it might be warranted. His singles career didn't exactly set the world on fire, but in the tag team ranks he was extremely successful.

Along with the Road Dogg Jesse James, Gunn was one half of the New Age Outlaws, D-Generation X members and a true staple of the Attitude Era.

Gunn also made himself a pretty good career out of coming into the ring following a beatdown on James. Looking back at some of the Outlaws' matches this is even more apparent, as many a crowd popped big for his entrance into the match and the beating he would give out thereafter.

Gunn had energy and Gunn had true fire, two of the most important elements of the hot tag.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
