Justin 'Hawk' Bradshaw was something of a non-entity upon arriving in the World Wrestling Federation. He came, he branded a few people, he faded into obscurity.

After a few failed attempts to get him over he was put into a tag team with fellow Texan Faarooq (Ron Simmons) as the Acolytes (who eventually became the APA), and finally his role was found.

His role was generally to stand on the apron getting increasingly annoyed as legitimate tough guy Ron took a beating from whichever poor souls the APA were up against that night.

Bradshaw would eventually get in and display exactly why he was regarded as one of the stiffest in the game, as he laid into the poor sods with great abandon.

Bradshaw did it all with a fantastically mean poker face, the look of a man who knew his role was to come in and beat people up as quickly as possible. Having a finisher like the Clothesline From Hell certainly helped.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
