John Cena and CM Punk was probably the closest their generation came to Rock and Austin, which is to say that when they met in the ring, magic was more or less guaranteed.
Granted, the stakes were higher in some of their other matches - the epic encounter they shared at Money in the Bank 2011, for example - and few would have bet against Cena emerging victorious when the prize for the winner was a WWE Championship match against The Rock at WrestleMania XXIX.
