Live crowds, man. Live. F'n. Crowds.

Hearing the Moda Center's masses in Oregon pop for major moments at NXT TakeOver: Portland was a genuine thrill when revisiting every event for this list. One had almost forgotten the majesty of hearing that organic response, and it 100% helped turn this already-awesome card of wrestling into one of the best.

Again, Keith Lee performed his 'big lad' antics admirably against old pal/foe Dominik Dijaokvic (whatever happened to him?) in the opener. Following that, ex-friends Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai pasted one another in a 'Street Fight', and the tantalising combo of Bálor and Johnny Gargano worked magic.

Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair ruled, Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne vs. Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly tore the house down, and Adam Cole vs. Tommaso Ciampa was one of WWE's best supershow mains all year. Yep, it totally helped that Portland roared themselves hoarse.

Go back and watch this for your own sanity.
