10 Best Wrestling Referees Ever

7. Bryce Remsburg

Charles Robinson
Chikara

I can't really deny this, so I'll just say that this is very much an example of my CHIKARA fanboy bias shining through.

Saying that, Bryce Remsburg truly deserves to be included in the discussion for most entertaining referee of all-time, not to mention the most athletic.

Working primarily for the aforementioned CHIKARA, Remsburg is arguably the most recognisable ref on the independent scene today. He also provides commentary for the promotion, along with running a webcast and generally being an extremely approachable dude on the internet.

As a referee he is harsh but fair, and isn't afraid to put himself about from time to time. Also, any referee that performs a tope con giro is alright by me.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
