10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2018

Trent Seven and Tyler Bate were two of the select few to actually benefit from WWE's clunky introduction of NXT UK in 2018, thanks largely to some dazzling displays for the Full Sail version of the developmental brand.

Keeping the team together and red hot on the British Independent Scene, the West Midlands pair were finally given an opportunity to sink their teeth into a programme in Orlando after Undisputed Era revealed new member Roderick Strong at Pete Dunne's expense.

A multi-man feud between the groups splintered off into the inevitable tags, including a memorable title victory for the home country heroes at a special Royal Albert Hall television taping. The best was yet to come - Undisputed reclaimed them on television in a match Wrestling Observer scribe Dave Meltzer considered worthy of his five-star full monty. The match played to the most logical narrative - Seven's leg was a weak link the heels brutalised in the face of Bate's rule-following misery. A TakeOver rematch almost hit the giddy heights again too.

The pair have recently come in for criticism for so ardently defending WWE's divisive new contract policies, but their collective take is unfortunately one of the least impartial. Other than the bizarre circumstances that now see Trent Seven prohibited from wrestling for the company he owns, Uncle Paul has otherwise done good by the 'Big Strong Bois'.
