10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2019 (So Far)

9. The Revival

As up and down as Scott Dawson when he had his cooling balm tampered with by The Usos, The Revival’s 2019 has been rewarding in a literal sense if not particularly a creative one.

By winning the Raw Tag Team Championships on two separate occasions, Dawson and Dash have, if nothing else, been validated as good enough to steward things on WWE’s flagship show. Unfortunately, “if nothing else” just about sums up what that role represents in recent years. It’s the same position of authority that’s been afforded to The B-Team, the worst version of Bray Wyatt, record-setting loser Curt Hawkins and - at a WrestleMania no less - a 10-year-old.

Rumours swirled earlier this year that the pair were going as soon as they could get away, but it was easier to get confirmation of their supposedly superlative house show series with Bobby Roode and Chad Gable than it was a clear statement of intent from the former NXT icons. It’s all gone quiet since they regained their belts too - but what this reflects during a time of relative security for the act matters little to those fans that just desperately want to see these excellent wrestlers wrestle.
