10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2021

7. MSK

Jumping ship from IMPACT Wrestling to WWE at the turn of the year, MSK has been a consistent highlight of NXT's otherwise-dreary 2021, despite the poor fan reception and ongoing Shaman sh*te.

The thing with Wes Lee and Nash Carter, you see, is that they're perfectly moulded for the world of sports entertainment more than they are for the world of professional wrestling. As entertainingly gifted grapplers as they are, Lee and Carter have this skillset that is otherworldly. This is evident from the moment they enter an arena; they're typically pouncing about ringside, which then transcends their in-ring repertoire.

It's insane watching any MSK match. A literal blink-and-you'll-miss-it tandem, there is no-one else like them currently on WWE's payroll. This only makes them stand out further. You see the first flip of the match. You're likely in awe. Then, the Hot Fire Flame is executed. It's an engaging, magical, almost intangible piece of tag team wrestling excellence.

They'd been at the helm of the division from their debut on NXT's 13 January broadcast. As NXT Tag Team Champions, they were superlative, producing banger after banger pre-NXT 2.0 vs. Legado del Fantasma, Imperium, Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher, et al. It's impossible to not be excited by the former Rascalz; it's just a shame they've been Riddled with this current schtick.
