10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2021

4. ALK

Dangerous Tekkers
Stardom

In 2021, an abundance of incredible wrestlers - Utami Hayashishita, Momo Watanabe, Tam Nakano, et al - and matches - Syuri vs. Hayashishita, Nakano vs. Hayashishita, Nakano vs. Mayu Iwatani, et al - have allowed Stardom to largely dominate the continent.

This applies to tag teams, too, as Syuri and Giulia, two of the company's top singles stars, have had an outstanding 2021 as both single entities and, crucially, as a tag team.

The transcendent duo has consistently produced matches worth discussing, represented the entire Stardom brand on two New Japan Pro-Wrestling pre-shows, and raised the prestige of the Goddesses of Stardom Titles to an entirely new level. They're worthy champions; Stardom didn't belt them up without justified reasoning.

Title defences against Saya Kamitani and Utami Hayashishita, and Koguma and Mayu Iwatani were received exceptionally well, as was their bout vs. Donna del Mondo pals Himeka and Maika, in which they captured the titles in a twenty-eight-minute tag team classic. The championships are now as legitimate as ever.

Though Stardom is more well-known for its in-depth focus on singles stars, the Joshi promotion is truly climbing the ladder with regards to must-see tag team wrestling, each step made easier by ALK's untouchable body of work.
