Stone Cold and The Rock have fought more times than we can count, but it's their three WrestleMania encounters that make up this trilogy (in the same way that you disregard everything after Terminator 2).

Going at it three times on The Grandest Stage of Them All may seem like overkill to some, but these were the two biggest stars of the Attitude Era who, together, formed its biggest and best rivalry - so, in fact, it was more or less fitting.

And, to be fair, each encounter brought something different to the table. In 1999, they were a pair of hungry upstarts, leading a fresh generation of wrestlers into the new millennium; in 2001, it was Austin's out-of-nowhere heel turn, and two years later the tear-jerker: the Texas Rattlesnake's final bow.
