10 Best Wrestling Tweets You Must Read (Before Twitter Dies)

9. Will Ospreay Gets Bantered Off The Face Of The Earth

Will Ospreay spends every hour of his waking life getting it in the neck, whether he's taking bumps in the ring or getting bantered off - or "c*nted off", to use his own phrase - the face of the earth.

...by his own peers and friends.

Ospreay has actually matured on Twitter in recent years. He was the reasonable man in his infamous dispute with Seth Rollins in 2019, and recently tried to be impartial when Braun Strowman smashed himself into the ring post by needlessly burying cruiserweight wrestling when high on the acclaim generated by his Crown Jewel match with Omos. Which was sh*te, just loud. A fitting description of the match and indeed the man.

Ospreay used to be immature, and at times revolting, but mostly very thick. This is a man who quite literally could not believe that it's not butter. The concept behind the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter name - it's not butter, it says it's not butter, but is so effective at emulating the taste of butter that you will struggle to believe that it is not, in fact, butter - broke him. He thought it might be butter. This is a shoot.

He could not believe that it was not butter.

The funniest thing about the tweet is the cruelty of it; like the best "banter", there was really no need.
