I had never noticed before, but is there a more E-fed sounding tag team match than 'The Two Man Power Trip' versus 'The Brothers of Destruction'? Unless we've got a match between the 'New Revolution' or 'Kill Squad' or something, I doubt it.

The main event of Backlash 2001 was no E-fed mish-mash however, instead a match with a plethora of titles on the line featuring four of the biggest names in the history of this glorious sport. Well, three of them plus Kane I guess.

The WWF Championship was on the line in the tag match, as champion Steve Austin teamed with Intercontinental Champion Triple H to take on Tag Team Champions Undertaker and Kane, and after the usual McMahonigans at the end Triple H was able to pin so that the Power Trip had more gold.

The 27 minutes before the sledgehammer gets involved are fantastic though, with four top level players putting on a top level show just one month removed from the greatest WrestleMania of all time.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
