Just a month after Chris Benoit had tapped Triple H out in the centre of Madison Square Garden to pick up the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XX, these three man went at it once more for the same prize. The main difference between this match and the Mania one however was the crowd, who produced some fascinating dynamics from the get-go.

The show took place in Edmonton (Alberta), Canada. This made for interesting viewing. Benoit was back in his homeland, and as such was received as a all-conquering hero. Shawn Michaels is probably Canada's least favourite professional wrestler, so his usual babyface dynamic was replaced by the complete opposite. Triple H was there too, doing a whole lot of nothing other than wrestling his backside off.

Benoit picked up the win once again, this time tapping Shawn Michaels out in the centre of the ring to Canada's official submission move, the Sharpshooter. There were plenty of shenanigans throughout, with Earl Hebner (Canada's least favourite professional wrestling referee) coming out to a arguably a bigger (negative) reaction than any referee in history.

It may not have been as good as the Mania classic, but it would have had to have been something truly special to even get close. This match still more than holds up to this day.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
