10 Best WWE Championship Reigns Of The 1990s
6. Diesel (November 1994-November 1995)
Size doesn't always matter in life, but in terms of wrestling title reigns, length can definitely be a positive.
When Diesel squashed Bob Backlund in 8 seconds to win the WWE Championship at a 1994 Madison Square Garden house show, very few people expected him to still have the title almost a year later.
In his 358 days on top, Big Daddy Cool faced anyone and everyone who stepped to him, including Sid, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The British Bulldog, and, regrettably, King Mabel at SummerSlam 1995.
If you ever worry that you like wrestling too much, just put that match on and it'll put you straight.
In terms of positives, Nash's matches with HBK and The Hitman stand out, including his Mania XI defence and his Survivor Series title loss to Hart. He also became a double champion during this reign, winning the tag titles with Michaels.
WWE famously didn't run too smoothly on "Diesel power", but in terms of personal achievements, Big Sexy got a lot done in this time and being the longest reigning WWE Champion of the decade has to count for something.
