Fans inside of MetLife Stadium witnessed a dream match of sorts last year.

'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles taking on 'The Apex Predator' Randy Orton may have been a few years past its best, but it still contained a decent narrative involving a surly WWE company man trying to put an indie darling in his place. Orton would prove unsuccessful in this quest and Styles wandered out of New Jersey with the victory.

The former WWE Champion then ended up on Monday Night Raw soon after, taking on fellow indie darling Seth Rollins for his Universal Championship in yet another dream match at Money in the Bank.

Mutual respect was shared between the 'Beastslayer' and Styles throughout their mini-programme, yet the latter had started to showcase a few glimmers of his old dastardly past.

After failing to overcome Universal Champion Rollins at the PPV and later United States Champion Ricochet on Raw, Styles finally lost his rag and joined up with his old buddies Gallows and Anderson to beat down the high flier.

Styles would eventually claim his third U.S. title as the spearhead of the newly re-branded 'The O.C.' and defended the belt successfully for 134 days.

You can't deny that his descent back into darkness has reaped rewards throughout the year and he's now set his sights on The Undertaker coming into this year's Show of Shows.

Will Styles and The O.C. be able to devise a plan capable of dispatching 'The Phenom' inside of his favoured arena?
