7. Buddy Murphy (Best Kept Kick-Off Secret To Feature Player)
When Buddy Murphy lost his Cruiserweight title to Tony Nese on the 'Mania 35 Kick-Off Show, he not only saw his dominant reign stripped away but also his undefeated streak in televised matches - which stretched back to July 2018.
Yet, 205 Live's 'Best Kept Secret' was about to become a main roster sensation, as the Australian was drafted onto SmackDown in the Superstar Shake-Up.
OK, maybe not...
Murphy was actually pretty much missing from the blue brand until he found himself embroiled in the 'Who Tried to Kill the Big Dog?' angle. Epic matches with Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan followed and it finally looked as though Murphy was set to kick on. Until he didn't.
Getting knocked out in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament was then followed by a shift over to Monday Night Raw.
Would Murphy finally be able to deliver on his moniker over on Raw? Well, yeah... for a bit anyway.
He developed another winning streak and finally looked as though he could hang in the big leagues. That was until Aleister Black Black Massed him to pieces on three separate occasions.
Despite those matches being highly competitive, Buddy knew he needed to do something in order to get back to winning ways. Pledging his allegiance to the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins, the newly christened Murphy soon became one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions.
Going from Kick-Off Show to ending the show on Monday Night Raw is quite the turn around and Murphy has used all of his cunning and ability to position himself as a top tier force coming into 'Mania 36.
