10 Best WWE Character Arcs Since Last Year's WrestleMania

3. Seth Rollins (Only Hope To Monday Night Messiah)

Seth Rollins has had a bit of a year, hasn't he?

He came into WrestleMania 35 in a similar position to Drew McIntyre this year. He was seen as the full-time star who was capable of clawing the Universal title from the part-time menace that was Brock Lesnar.

And he only went and bloody did it!

Cue mega-push and new face of the company.

Only, that wasn't the case and Rollins soon slipped into the unlikeable, smarmy babyface traps which the likes of John Cena and Roman Reigns both had before him.

Rollins eventually lost and won back his title from 'The Beast', became a tag champion for a spell and even defended his red world title against his partner Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions.

Then a couple of clashes with Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' really pulled the rug out from under Rollins' feet and after losing his Universal title (and calling out his Raw teammates after coming up short at Survivor Series) Rollins finally embraced who he really was.

He committed himself to being the 'Monday Night Messiah', tasked with being the shining light on the roster. A star who the rest of the locker room and WWE Universe could follow.

A stable with the AOP and Murphy would follow and Rollins is currently wreaking havoc/leading by example - depending on how you look at it - on a weekly basis on Monday nights.

He was once the one-man-army focused on dispatching a 'Beast', yet his congregation are now on hand to aid his cause coming into 'Mania 36.
