Nobody could have predicted the impact the first season of NXT rookies would have on the WWE on a single night back in 2010. When John Cena and CM Punk headlined the main event of Raw back in June of that year, the cameras dramatically panned to the crowd during the latter stages of the match - The Nexus had arrived. Both men were brutally assaulted by the group - but that was by no means enough to leave The Nexus satisfied. They went after the announcers - including Jerry Lawler - and the people all around the ring at that time. They then took to the ring and dismantled the famous squared circle, breaking down the ropes and unhinging the mat. Although they came and went relatively quickly, The Nexus' debut was one of the most striking first appearances the company has ever seen.
