10 Best WWE DVD Documentaries

5. CM Punk - Best In The World

Though CM Punk's wrestling career may be over, he continues to live in the hearts of wrestling fans everywhere, and the fantastic "Best in the World" documentary is one of the many great things he left behind. Released in 2012 during his historic WWE title reign, Punk's humble beginnings are explored, as the future champion was raised in Chicago. As Punk got into wrestling and worked the indy circuit during a hot period for independents, he made a name for himself-- and others-- in the process. A unique facet in Punk's DVD that set it apart from others was the use of footage from both IWA: Mid South and Ring of Honor. Most feature subjects had previously been in WCW, ECW or the AWA-- all libraries in which WWE owned. Punk, however, rose to prominence in the 2000's and the company had to secure the rights to use the outside footage, which they did. In the mid-2000's, it could be argued that the roster in RoH was better in-ring than that of the WWE, something in which Punk helped solidify. From his indy run, all the way through his historic 2011 angle, Punk is incredibly blunt about his career achievements and mis-steps. While this again was a feature done prior to his career being completed, CM Punk would leave the WWE less than two years later.
