10 Best WWE Entrances Of 2016
7. Goldberg - Survivor Series
It seems like ever since Bill Goldberg left WWE in 2004, fans and dirt sheets alike have been touting his return. If it wasn’t CM Punk making a surprise reappearance, it was Goldberg – so fantastical did it seem that Goldberg would ever step foot in a WWE ring again, most of the rumours were treated with scorn.
But, when WWE wants to shamelessly promote a tie-in product, they will move mountains (and Goldbergs) to do it. Hence, ‘Fantasy Warfare Got Real’, and Goldberg took on Brock Lesnar in a two minute squash match. Regardless of what you think of the ‘Mega Match’s’ outcome though, Goldberg’s entrance was absolutely outstanding. His signature ‘punch through a wall of slow-release pyro’ is still incredibly entertaining to watch, and the fact that he was still accompanied to the ring by security from backstage gave him an air of legitimacy that even twelve years outside of the ring couldn’t wash away.
Also, at 49, Goldberg still looks like he could kick a lorry from one side of Europe to the other, which will make any entrance feel important.
