10 Best WWE Feuds Of 2014

1. Team Cena vs. Team Authority

Sometimes, WWE makes poor booking decisions and are rightly criticised. Other times, they get it perfectly right and often don't receive the praise in kind. Survivor Series 2014, off of the back of a string of 5 mediocre Survivor Series' had all the potential to be awful, especially with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar not booked for the event. When it was announced that WWE was giving the event away for free on the WWE Network as a ploy to entice more people to subscribe, the playing field changed. All of a sudden, WWE found themselves against a wall. They now had to deliver a worthy show or they would have given away a PPV for nothing. When WWE is against a wall, history says they tend to rise to the occasion. Over the course of the 4 week build up to the event, the stakes for this mammoth main event raised exponentially. The recruitment process for the teams was the focal point of all television and the trials that the members of Team Cena went through made the fans care about the match. Then, the match itself. 43 minutes of twists and turns. Heel turns, ref bumps, a shock elimination at the start, the surprise push of Dolph Ziggler and the coup de grace: the long-awaited debut of Sting ensured WWE hit a home run with this match. In many ways, it more closely resembled a Royal Rumble match in that it was booked into little mini-segments and it worked a treat. It was a match and a feud that could've been dull, bland and dulcet. As it was, it ended up being superb and WWE deserves credit for that. What were your favourite WWE feuds of 2014?
