10 Best WWE Hardcore Champions
6. Big Boss Man
Considering that more than half of the 252 Hardcore Championship reigns lasted less than 24 hours, Big Boss Man deserves huge props for holding onto the thing for some 97 days. That's the longest run that any wrestler managed over the belt's near four-year history - though he did reign prior to the introduction of the awesome 24/7 rule.
This historic reign began in October 1999 on an episode of SmackDown in Birmingham, Alabama, where he picked up the title in a triple threat match with the aforementioned Al Snow and Big Show (which was exactly as fast-paced and frenetic as you're imagining).
That was the fourth and final Hardcore Championship run of his career. The other three were considerably less prolific, but they did involve - for example - a worthy SummerSlam 1999 match which ended up on a street outside the arena.
It was during this point of his life that Boss Man also committed two of the most dastardly heel acts in the history of the business: first feeding the remains of Snow's own pet chihuahua to him, and then a few weeks later driving away from the funeral of Big Show's father with the casket chained to his car.
You don't see commitment like that these days.
