No list of great heel performances can be complete without at least one from Roddy Piper, a man who - according to some - is deserving of the mantle of wrestling's best ever bad guy.

At the second annual WrestleMania, Piper was pitted in a boxing bout with Mr T, the man who he faced, along with Hulk Hogan, in tag team action at the previous year's event.

Though it was Mr T, after a turn in Rocky III, who went into the fight as favourite, the cocksure Canadian strutted around the ring with the swagger of Muhammad Ali, and just about everyone was desperate to see him take a hard right hand.

Unlike Conor McGregor, though, Piper couldn't quite adhere to the Queensberry rules, and got himself disqualified after hitting his A-Team opponent with a body-slam. And why not?
