A throwback to the days when Hell In A Cell was known for career-changing violence, this grotesque, bloody, vicious clash came at the zenith of the awesome Triple H vs. Batista feud.

There were all kinds of stories in-play. Batista's vulnerability to the Pedigree was already well-established, with 'The Animal' seemingly unable to kick out of his former mentor's finisher. Despite this, Big Dave had defeated Hunter in their last two matches, but Triple H was still undefeated inside Hell In A Cell. Throw these nuggets into their intense, bitter rivalry, and you had the perfect recipe for cell-bound drama.

What transpired from these threads was two sports entertainment titans beating the hell out of each other, almost nonstop, for 27 minutes. Both were busted open. Chains, sledgehammers, and a chair wrapped in barbed wire were all brought into the mix. Fighting like they wanted to murder the other man's career, Triple H and Batista spent every last drop of energy on building a claret-soaked war of attrition, marking this not only as one of the best Hell In A Cell bouts ever, but one of the most extreme in years.
