10 Best WWE Hell In A Cell Matches Ever

4. The Undertaker Vs. Triple H (WrestleMania XXVIII)

Triple H's recent Raw chat about bringing back his and The Undertaker's "era" at Super Show-Down is cringe-worthy, but in his defence, the duo had some ripping matches together, with this standing as one of their finest hours.

Billed the "end of an era," the story was that Triple H had lost to 'The Deadman' in each of their previous two WrestleMania encounters. Despite this, he'd rendered 'Taker unable to walk out of the building on his own accord one year prior, with the stretcher-bound legend carted off by medics. A 10-month Undertaker hiatus followed, before he returned in January 2012, and, fuelled by that difficult memory, challenged 'The Game' to another.

With Shawn Michaels as special guest referee, it was ostensibly a handicap match at points. This didn't harm the bout's flow, though. Two old gunslingers went to war for what we assumed would be the last time, building towards a stunning finisher shootout and an elongated closing stretch. By the final bell, they'd expelled so much energy that they'd no choice but to leave the cell in each others arms, and while this wasn't the end for their era, it felt that way as the trio posed on the stage.
