10 Best WWE Last Man Standing Matches

8. Alberto Del Rio Vs. Big Show - Smackdown 2013

In early 2013, WWE decided to turn Alberto Del Rio babyface because they felt the need to create another Latino babyface star since Rey Mysterio was injury prone by this point. Big Show was the heel World Champion that was doing a great job in the role. They set up this match on Smackdown with the Last Man Standing stipulation, which was very rare for a Smackdown match. It's usually saved for PPV matches. Any time they do a match with stipulation it's going to be physical and that's what happened here. What I really liked about it, though, was that it was so intelligently booked too. They did a lot of spots where Big Show overpowered him, but Del Rio kept on outsmarting him. That held true for the finish as Del Rio knocked him down outside the ring and then buried him under the announce table, which led to the finish of the match. They did a rematch a few weeks later at the Royal Rumble with the same stipulations, but this one was clearly the better match. Del Rio's babyface run wasn't that successful although this title change was definitely the highlight of it.
