10. John Cena Vs Edge - Unforgiven 2006 (Toronto)

Copyright: WWE Top Rivalries 2005 Blu-rayWe start off with the best match from the best feud of the Cena generation. The bout was a TLC match for the WWE championship, Champion Edge defending against John Cena. The added stipulation was that Cena would be required to leave Raw if he lost, so there was plenty at stake. This came right in Edge's peak as 'The Rated R Superstar' alongside manager Lita, with Cena also hitting his own career high with 2006 as the year he really cemented his top star status. Putting the two stars together with all the stunts of a TLC was always going to be fun, but what made it even more exciting was the electric Toronto crowd. They got to see two men who had the perfect in-ring chemistry with one another, everything clicked, it felt like this was the Rock vs Austin feud for the 'entertainment era' generation. Indeed, when both Edge and Cena look back, they very probably consider their feud the best work they ever did. Unforgiven 2006 was the grand finale of all of that, the night the 'face' usurped the 'heel'. The most memorable spot had to be Cena giving Edge the FU off the top of the ladder through two tables. Is it any wonder Edge ended up having to retire earlier than expected in 2011?
