Make no mistake about it, this was not only one of the finest female matches ever, it was also one of the most emotional WWE matches of any type. It perfectly fitted storytelling with real emotion. We knew Trish Stratus was leaving WWE to get married, we knew this was her last ever match, we knew it was against her real life best friend in her home town of Toronto. That's just perfect for Trish and she had the storyline to match, she was the hometown hero against Lita's hated 'slut' character - everyone wanted to see the blonde haired beauty bowing out by winning the title in her last ever match! And that's what we got, but it was even more perfect than that. Trish won with none other than Bret Hart's sharpshooter, to receive one of the loudest pops you're ever likely to hear. This match was as Canadian as they come and you can almost guarantee that Trish wouldn't have enjoyed a prouder moment - it was great to see.
