WWE tends not to do dream matches very well - the AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura WrestleMania 34 match drenched the pitch in irony - and it takes something special to elevate an athleticism-driven, modern-style match into the special stratosphere.

AJ's Curb Stomp/Styles Clash reversal was that; a jaw-dropping feat of timing, creativity and athleticism, it was also germane to the story: this was a cracking back-and-forth/fight hybrid in which the struggle to overcome manifested in a dramatic burst of well-earned counters. Intensely physical, the stiffness really put this over. It wasn't a just dance of deception constructed by two men very well-versed in the style; this was a true welter of a battle that was as hard as it was engrossing to watch.

The finishing sequence was glorious; Rollins scouted the Phenomenal Forearm and used the most logical and hard-hitting weapon, his ripcord knee, to counter it.

They should teach this match as vital material in wrestling school social media class. Seth's performance level degenerated throughout the year, but simply not tweeting would have obscured that. The strength of this banger would have led fans to mourn a botched run.
