9. & Randy Orton & Ted Dibiase, Vs. Triple H, Batista & Shane McMahon (Backlash 2009)
The match was for Triple H's WWE Championship, which apparently could only be "won" by Orton, even if Rhodes or Dibiase had pinned Batista or McMahon. That Orton pinned Triple H relatively cleanly prevented there from being much confusion or dilution of the belt. As far as the match went, the crowd in Providence was molten for much of the night, and Backlash 2009 remains one of the more underrated events in modern WWE annals.
For the most part, Rhodes and Dibiase were treated as puny geeks compared to Orton's alpha male act, and it'd be a bit of time before Rhodes would be treated as a true breakout performer, but this match is quite enjoyable, in large part due to the faster pace and the designed unpredictability.
