10 Best WWE Matches Under 5 Minutes
2. Owen Hart Vs The 1-2-3 Kid (1994)
Sub-five-minute matches aren't just shock-value spot-fests; they can also be (very brief) exhibitions of high-quality technical wrestling - as Owen Hart and the 1-2-3 Kid (aka Sean Waltman) showed way back in 1994 at King of the Ring.
Hart - who would, later in the night, win the tournament with victory over Razor Ramon in the final - ambushed his opponent before the bell rang, forcing him to submit minutes later to the Sharpshooter, just as fans were beginning to get into what could have been a bone fide classic.
It kept Waltman, who could excuse his defeat by being attacked before kick-off, looking relatively strong, and all at once cemented Hart's status as a ruthless, win-at-all-costs contender for the KOTR crown. Job done, and not a second wasted.
