10 Best WWE Network Shows Of 2018

6. Edge & Christian's Show That Totally Reeks Of Awesomeness (Season 2)

Vince McMahon might have wanted to put a blue dot on the man he insisted announcers relentlessly refer to as a “Creepy Little B*stard”, but he’s done right by Christian and longstanding bestie Edge to to afford them a second series of their sly-eyed sketch comedy.

Edge & Christian’s Show That Totally Reeks Of Awesomeness is at times as clunky as its title. Not every pastiche or parody hits, and there are only so many times you can watch the pair pick at Tommy Dreamer’s low-hanging chippy t*ts, but when the show nails something, it does so with the ferocious fire of an Attitude Era Con-Chair-To.

Truthfully, it’s been satisfying just to see it back at all. A sketch in the Season Two opener made good on a long gap between the sophomore series and the 2016 maiden voyage. “Will WWE Talk About It” once featured AJ Styles looking the other way at mentions of Bullet Club and TNA. In 2018, it became a great way of covering the insane events of the past two years such as Ricochet’s NXT arrival and Daniel Bryan’s WWE return.

These treats are sometimes the sizzle rather than the steak on E&CSTTROA, but the chemistry between the pair carry even the heaviest comedic anchors.
