10 Best WWE Network Shows Of 2018

5. Something Else To Wrestle

Though early episodes were under-thought from a production standpoint - and from listening to Conrad and Bruce on the regular weekly podcast, much of the idea to bring them to the Network was seemed in an effort to strike an extremely hot iron after Prichard’s Raw 25 pop - Something Else To Wrestle rapidly became as essential as the audio equivalent that birthed the broadcast.

Little seemed off the table between the two - an obvious rarity compared to much of the Network content - with the pair seemingly steering into contentious subject matters in order to stay high in the weekly viewing figures and at least imply an extra level of control over their output compared to those based within the organisation rather than passing comment from the outside of it.

Episodes on Vince Russo, AJ Styles’ TNA run and CM Punk offered fresh takes on fresher subjects of discussion, whilst a deeper dive on The Undertaker’s divisive ‘Big Evil’ spell was at least a break from the usual lionising of every single element of his at-times uneven career. A Season Two, should it occur, would only be bolstered further by backstage production footage that appeared with more frequency later in the run.
