10 Best WWE Network Shows Of 2018

7. House Hardy Halloween

Matt Hardy
WWE

Matt Hardy no longer needs vindication from WWE of his creative skills when it comes to his self-made Broken Universe - and based on Vince McMahon's assessment of it through mouthpiece Michael Cole, he's not going to get it - but the company aren't daft to ignore it entirely when there are Network minutes waiting to be filled.

House Hardy Halloween was a glorious celebration of the silliness, telling the story of a corrupted Hurricane threatening to destroy one of his oldest friend at a party that perhaps resembles the types of times Matt and Jeff used to have when times were a little bit harder than they thankfully are today.

All sorts of absurdities occur - 'The Charismatic Enigma' farts out a daft song you can't help thinking he genuinely likes, Matt and The Boogeyman share real and gummy worms by the punch bowl, and the Attitude Era is mined for patter with the once-tricky copyright restraints now lovingly lifted by the McMahon empire.

This all proffers a grand payoff in which The Godfather's Lake Of Reincarnation swim results in a return as Papa Shango to save the day from the aforementioned (and yellow-attired) evil superhero Helms.

It's batsh*t. It's brilliant.
