I can't help but feel that John Morrison was something of a missed opportunity for WWE. People often cited that he didn't possess the character chops, but as any viewer of Lucha Underground will know the newly named Johnny Mundo is pretty close to being the full package. He also holds a two out of three record at Night of Champions. His first victory came in the inagural event as he defeated CM Punk for the then-vacant ECW title, going by the name Johnny Nitro at the time.

He followed this up a year later by joining forces with The Miz to defeat Finlay and Hornswoggle. His only defeat came in a fatal 4-way contest for Dolph Ziggler's United States title in 2011, where Morrison was joined in the challenge by Jack Swagger and Alex Riley (yes, Alex Riley).

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
