10 Best WWE NXT Matches Of 2015

8. Finn Balor (c) Vs. Apollo Crews - NXT TV 4/11

This was the first meeting between these two in NXT, and only a fool would bet against them coming up against each other again at some point in the future. Balor went into the match as the NXT Champion, Crews picking up his number one contender spot after winning a battle royal previously. Balor and Crews are quite possibly the two biggest can't-miss prospects in the company right now, and they put on a match of the quality one would expect from two top talents. The scene was beautifully set with the single spotlight for the introductions, giving the match the big fight feel that title matches should really come with. It went at a breakneck speed, as one would expect from a TV main event. Both men hit big moves throughout, and after a back and forth kick-fest the match ground to a standstill at the 11 minute mark. Baron Corbin would then run in for the interference, and the match was thrown out. This bout is arguably remembered more for the post-match shenanigans involving Samoa Joe, but for the ten minutes prior Crews and Balor really brought all sorts of thing to the table. Finn Balor and Apollo Crews will surely face off again in 2016, hopefully on a bigger stage with a real finish.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
