1. Over The Edge 1998
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ho2v_over-the-edge-1998-opening_sport The introduction video package for Over The Edge 1998 could have been used to document exactly what Steve Austin's character was all about. Refusing to conform with Vince McMahon's authority, Austin was a rebel that almost everybody could identify with. In many respects, people lived vicariously through the beer-swilling bad-ass. For Over The Edge, the WWF production staff brilliantly spliced comments from Austin and McMahon into a music video. A variation of the song was used for the 'Brawl For All' experiment later, and it proved hard-hitting and effective for what the company were hoping to achieve at Over The Edge. The odds were against Austin for his WWF Title match opposite Dude Love. Vince McMahon was the Special Guest Referee, and even both Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson were involved. The clip effectively sells the idea that Austin is a one-man army, up against the might of the juggernaut, McMahon-led WWF empire. It's almost the perfect introduction for any Pay-Per-View, and one of the best that WWE have ever produced.
